Long-term blood pressure measurement

Long-term blood pressure measurement is a diagnostic method applied during a whole day in regular intervals.

Long-term blood pressure measurement is necessary

  • if your doctor suspects high blood pressure
  • for monitoring blood pressure therapy

Procedure

Measurement and recording of your blood pressure is achieved by an automated inflatable cuff  that is worn throughout the day on the upper arm. The patient should follow their usual daily routines.

A protocol that is simultaneously kept by patients can later help identifying coherencies between efforts and changes in blood pressure.

The data is then examined via computer analysis.

Your benefits

Long-term blood pressure measurement allows early detection of high blood pressure and early therapy.  It is also used for risk evaluation regarding strokes (apoplexia).
